Collect for the Fourth Sunday of Easter
(21 April)
Almighty God,
whose Son Jesus Christ is the resurrection and the life:
raise us, who trust in him,
from the death of sin to the life of righteousness,
that we may seek those things which are above,
where he reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
we thank You that You have given us, in Christ, the perfect representation of humanity.
He is the perfect human.
We pray, Lord, that we would desire to be like Him, our Brother.
Help us to cry out to You, Lord, in our sin and say,

'Change us – bring out the image of God in me in a way that is currently obscured by that fall and that terrible thing that happened in the garden. Lord, remake me back into the image-bearer that I was created to be, that I might accurately represent You to a world that desperately needs to know who You are.'

Father, thank You that we are stamped with Your image.
May it be seen in us everywhere we go.
This is the will of God for our lives.
And we ask it in Your Son's name.
